Title
Haiti Out of the Rubble Hope
Artist
AMD Dickinson
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
Hope is the name of this child. After the earthquake in Haiti brought so many sad stories I thought somewhere - somehow these people needed hope. And HOPE was created to signify this feeling. It shows the child and the path out of the rubble. This painting was accepted in a juried show and exhibited at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), Toronto Canada during the summer of 2010.

Your artwork, Anna-Maria, symbolizes what has happened in Haiti that afternoon; because rubble still exists, and some people are still living under tents. Hope... people of Haiti still lived with Hope. Congratulations on your well deserved sale. Thanks for sharing this painting with us, and thanks on behalf of Haiti. Bravo! This is an iconic artwork! I have to tell you how happy my wife and I are that you're posting your work in Abandoned and Forlorn. You do such beautiful, but at times heart breaking work. A very sad and deeply touching photo. Wow. Thank you Anna-Maria. I wish there was a way to automatically vote and put your work in favorites. There going there anyway, so it would save a little time. v/f

Sad and beautiful, at the same time. A reminder that they still desperately need our help to rebuild and thrive.

Barbara, a taste of reality - yes. Thank you for looking and for your kind words
